Fifth grade students spent weeks preparing their Amazing American Reports. Each student selected an individual to research and represent. They did a phenomenal job presenting their reports!










Congratulations to the January students of the month! These students were selected for showing perseverance.










Many students celebrated the 100th and 101st days of school by doing various activities to celebrate being 100 days smarter. We can't wait to see how much they grow over the rest of the year!








Congratulations to Celeste Penick for winning the Crystal Apple Award. Not only is Ms Penick an exceptional reading teacher, but she has also spearheaded reading intervention at our school by training other educators and providing data-based instruction. We're so grateful for all she does!

Today is our school spirit day at Chubby's! Come at any time to support our school and a great local business.

Today the kindergarten held their Royal Tea Party to celebrate the end of their CKLA unit on Kings and Queens. We made crowns, read stories and of course had a delicious tea party snack.









Second grade students were excited to have some special visitors from Payson High's FFA club. The high school students visited with students and read a book.





Our students enjoyed Sambo Fogo, a Brazilian drumming and dance performance. The assembly featured drums, costumes, rhythms, and dance from different regions of Brazil. Students especially loved the different drum sounds, the dancing, and the teachers dancing.

Spring Lake students enjoyed cheering for veterans as they paraded past our school in the annual Payson schools Veterans Day parade. One student shared "I love America!" Thank you to our veterans!








On October 24th, Spring Lake School's first graders were treated to a hauntingly delightful time as the 9th Grade Peer Leadership Team from Payson Junior High visited our school. The first grade students eagerly participated in a variety of spooky games such as Monster Tag, Ghost in the Graveyard, and spine-tingling spooky stories. The peer leaders took charge ensuring everyone had a memorable experience filled with laughter and fun.
This event not only provided a fun break for the students but also fostered a sense of community and mentorship between the older and younger students. The 9th graders were thrilled to interact with the first graders, sharing in the Halloween spirit and making meaningful connections. The day was a fantastic success, leaving both groups eagerly anticipating future collaborations and activities.

Our Halloween parade will begin at 9:30 on Friday morning. Family and friends are invited to watch the parade outside. You are welcome to stand anywhere outside (front, back, and sides of school). Students will be parading around the building.

Second grade students had the best time on their field trip at Rowley's Red Barn!









Third grade students decorated pumpkins to look like book characters. Their creativity is impressive!
